Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center is known
for our excellent therapy services. Our interdisciplinary
team is lead by Paul Desmarais, MD. Dr. Desmarais, a
physiatrist, specializing in rehabilitative medicine.
Dr. Desmarais is available to work with the primary
care physician in order to maximize the resident’s
therapy regime and outcomes. In addition to Dr. Desmarais,
our team consists of Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses
and Administrative personnel. This group meets daily
to review each resident’s progress while they
are receiving rehabilitative services. At Holy Cross,
we offer the following rehabilitative services.
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Recreational Therapy
- Restorative Nursing Services
Our goal is to improve the resident’s level of
functioning and to return them to their prior living
arrangement when possible. Our discharge planning process
coordinates and arranges all necessary services (Visiting
Nurses Association, Meals on Wheels, Home Medical Equipment,
etc.) to return our residents back to the community.
We are very proud of our many success stories. Our philosophy
of care has allowed us to discharge approximately 250
residents per year.
